Ready Mix and Concrete Quality Testing

At Mastour Ready Mix, we understand that our concrete and cement products, are the most unique and versatile building materials in the world/gulf/saudi. It can assume virtually any shape and reach great strengths. Concrete is ideal for any building project such as residential homes, schools, high-rise buildings, bridges, dams, highways etc. Concrete is perishable in its plastic state and very “sensitive” from the time the raw materials are combined to the final product. Mixing, transportation, placing, and curing can influence its plastic and hardened properties. This is why Mastou Ready Mix places great emphasis on quality by expanding the parameters of its concrete quality management model from quality control to quality assurance. Mastou Ready Mix is leading the way to higher quality practices with the implementation of a Quality Management System based on the guidelines and principles

Water purification plants

The company has plants and water purification device examining the ratio of salts (TDS ) Where the water purification process and to ensure compliance with the U.S.A standards, is an important factor to achieve the highest quality of concrete.

Technical recommendations

Should follow the recommendations of engineering during the casting: –

  • On the client, to make every effort to unload the concrete from the truck mixer as soon as possible, in terms of time factor is very important for the quality of concrete.
  • During the concrete pouring, especially in columns, ceilings and cabinets recommends using vibrators to avoid honeycomb and to removed air voids to maintain the concrete quality and shape.
  • We recommend using good wood, especially for the columns in order to maintain the quality of the concrete and shape.
  • We recommend that the request for additional water to the mixture at site is prohibited, any additional water at site adversely affect the quality of concrete.

Recommendations of the ready-mixed concrete after casting :- Moisture must be maintained during the process of curing of concrete after casting so as not to loss moisture rapidly as the rapid loss of moisture during hardening will result in no doubt surface cracks. We recommend treatment with wet burlap or work pools of water with sand barriers to keep the water as long as possible.

Concrete recommendations to address backlog of doubt :- We recommend that you keep the surface moist at all times and can be delayed doubt concrete for several hours and that was the result of the chemical additives for concrete, which in turn delayed doubt concrete for several hours. We recommend that you deal with concrete containing Microsilica

Concrete Block

Concrete Block

Mastour ReadyMix is a Ready mix concrete and cement products company Jeddah Saudi Arabia.

Concrete blockcement block, and foundation block – is a large rectangular brick used in construction. Concrete blocks are made from cast concrete, i.e. Portland cement and aggregate, usually sand and fine gravel for high-density blocks. Lower density blocks may use industrial wastes as an aggregate. Clinker blocks use clinker as aggregate. In non-technical usage, the terms cinder block and breeze block are often generalized to cover all of these varieties. Lightweight blocks can also be produced using aerated concrete

Uses

Concrete block, when built in tandem with concrete columns and tie beams and reinforced with rebar, is a very common building material for the load-bearing walls of buildings, in what is termed “concrete block structure” construction. Large buildings typically use copious amounts of concrete block; for even larger buildings, concrete block supplements steel I-beams. Tilt-wall construction, however, is replacing Concrete Block Structure for some large structures.

Parking Stoppers

Parking Stopper

Mastour Ready Mix provides its customers with high-quality branded cement products for their construction needs

A parking space commonly contains a parking Stoppers, a barrier which is used to prevent cars from pulling too far into the space and obstructing a neighboring parking space, curb, or sidewalk.

This barrier, also called a Parking Stoppers, is usually made of concrete  and will normally be a horizontal bar to stop the tires from moving forward or a vertical bar that may cause damage to the vehicle if contact is made. In a parking garage, the barrier will often be a concrete wall.

All of our Parking Stoppers have a smooth form finish. The stops are vibrated as they are cast to provide good consolidation of the concrete which increases durability and improves their appearance. Holes are formed through the tops of the curbs at each end of the piece so that a ½” thick piece of rebar can be inserted for anchoring to asphalt or concrete surfaces. You can be sure that when you buy from us, you are buying a strong, durable product that you deserve. Don’t spend good money on cheap imitation parking stoppers, put your hard earned money in a quality product.

Using Ready Mix Concrete in Construction

Using Ready Mix Concrete in Construction

Mastou Ready Mix, we understand that our ready mix concrete and cement products, are the most unique and versatile building materials.

Building a house or any other type of building is not easy, especially when you do it from scratch. However, there are some shortcuts you can use when you want to shorten the building time and have your project ready in time. One of them involves the use of ready-mix concrete. This is a type of concrete that is manufactured in a factory or batching plant, according to a set recipe, and then delivered to a work site, by truck mounted transit mixers. The result is a precise mixture, allowing specialty concrete mixtures to be developed and implemented on construction sites. Of course, there are some advantages that this type of concrete offers

We were able to say that this was the most commonly used form of concrete. One of the most important advantages when using ready-mix concrete is the fact that you get to save time. As you probably know, time is usually the most important resource. Using ready-mix concrete speeds up the entire process.

Another advantage of using ready-made concrete is the high-quality of the concrete. Ready-mix concrete is consistently of a higher quality than concrete mixed on site. In other words, you’ll get high-quality concrete and you’ll save time and man power at the same time. Just to help you get an idea, you should know that mixing plants use natural ingredients and the standard recipes call for 10 percent to 15 percent cement, which is made up of clay, limestone, sand or shale; about 60 percent to 70 per cent aggregates, typically rock and gravel; and 20 per cent water.

The use of ready-mix concrete also reduces pollution outputs from construction sites, such as the dust created when mixing concrete on site and the possibility of unnecessary wastage due to making more than you need. Although ready-mix concrete requires special care and precautions during casting otherwise it could cause cracks and failure. More information’s about ready mix concrete Products and Services.

Hidden benefits of Ready Mix Concrete

Hidden benefits of Ready Mix Concrete

Mastour ReadyMix is one of the most efficient ready-mix concrete producers in the K.S.A.

Ready mix concrete is generally looked upon as a costly product rather than as a facility for an appropriate quality product on site as and when required. Ready Mix Concrete is considered to be more expensive compared to site mixed concrete. The initial cost of Ready Mix Concrete may seem higher. However, Ready Mix Concrete has several hidden advantages that can substantially reduce cost to the owner. And since these cannot be accurately determined, they are often ignored while evaluating the cost of RMC over site mixed/produced concrete.
The advantages over the site-mixed concrete are–the quality of concrete will be superior over the site-mixed concrete. However, it will greatly depend on the controls and checks exercised at site and at Ready Mix Concrete producer’s plant. The considerable wastage of materials on site due to poor storage conditions and repeated shifting of the mixer location is prevented.
In most cities, the plot area is barely sufficient to store reinforcement steel, concrete and other construction materials. Using Ready Mix Concrete can cause less congestion and better housekeeping on the site resulting in efficient working environment. Obtaining Ready Mix Concrete at site can reduce supervision and labor costs, which would otherwise be required for batching and mixing of concrete at site.
The modern RMC plants have an automatic arrangement to measure surface moisture on aggregates. This greatly helps in controlling the water to cement ratio (w/c), which results in correct strength and durability. Due to automation process the control and check can be emphasized at each and every stage of RMC manufacturing and thus ensuring better and consistent quality batch after batch. RMC encourages mechanization and promotes the use of new materials like micro silica and fibers that can be safely used in ready mix concrete, which in conventional concrete may pose problems

Precast Concrete Floors

Precast Concrete Floors

Mastour Ready Mix is a well-established and market leading ready mix concrete producer in Jeddah Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The vast majority of new homes have solid concrete ground floors. This is excellent from the point of view of sound

reduction. However, upstairs floors are probably the greatest single source of noise in homes. With many homeowners

moving   away  from carpet finishes   to    timber   floors ,   t h e  problem has increased significantly. Impact noise through timber floors can be a significant source of irritation, especially

when children are playing with friends in their bedroom. Tests show the airborne sound insulation of a concrete floor to be in the order of 47 to 52 decibels. A standard timber joist floor in

a comparative test has a rating of only 30 to 38 decibels. The substantial performance difference has encouraged many self builders to use precast concrete first floors. Those who do will enjoy the comfort of a quieter, safer home.

Fire Safe Concrete

Fire Sate Concrete

Mastour ReadyMix is a Ready mix concrete and cement products company Jeddah Saudi Arabia,

The safety of your family is a primary consideration when purchasing a new home. Concrete homes have a much higher level of fire safety than lightweight framed homes, with 4 times longer fire resistance – effectively 2 hours protection compared with 30 minutes for lightweight timber of steel frame construction.

Concrete is an incombustible material and it will not produce smoke or in any way add to the fire. Fires which occur in
concrete built homes will burn at a lower temperature, the house will retain its structural stability and the structure of the building will almost always remain completely intact.

The same cannot be said of lightweight framed homes, where the structural elements become part of the fire, produce higher temperatures and higher smoke levels and the building is frequently completely destroyed, requiring demolition. If you are buying an apartment which is built using lightweight framed construction – check the cost of the insurance premium. Some leading Irish Insurers will not ensure lightweight framed buildings above two storeys in height

Cement

Cement

Mastour ReadyMix is a Ready mix concrete and cement products company Jeddah Saudi Arabia

In the most general sense of the word, a cement is a binder, a substance that sets and hardens independently, and can bind other materials together. modern concrete that was made from crushed rock with burnt lime as binder. The volcanic ash and pulverized brick additives that were added to the burnt lime to obtain a hydraulic binder .

Cement used in construction is characterized as hydraulic or non-hydraulic. Hydraulic cements (e.g., Portland cement) harden because of hydration, chemical reactions that occur independently of the mixture’s water content; they can harden even underwater or when constantly exposed to wet weather. The chemical reaction that results when the anhydrous cement powder is mixed with water produces hydrates that are not water-soluble. Non-hydraulic cements (e.g. gypsum plaster) must be kept dry in order to retain their strength.

The most important use of cement is the production of mortar and concrete—the bonding of natural or artificial aggregates to form a strong building material that is durable in the face of normal environmental effects.

Concrete should not be confused with cement, because the term cement refers to the material used to bind the aggregate materials of concrete. Concrete is a combination of a cement and aggregate.
